I have tooth pain

Dental pain is usually caused when the nerve of a tooth is inflamed or dying. The nerve inflammation could be caused by decay or even a filling close to the nerve.

You will need dental treatment. Do not wait for a mild pain to become severe. Contact the Newbury Smile Studio for an appointment.

Short term relief:

Pain killers that you know you can have i.e. Ibuprofen or codeine. Be sure you have used it in the past with no side effects or contact your GP to be sure.

Oil of cloves placed on the tooth could help in some cases but only if the tooth is open (filling came out or hole in the tooth).

Some dental pain could be much more benign in origin. You could be clenching your teeth in your sleep or it could be a gum inflammation. It is still better to have it checked than to hope it will go away.
