Gosia Bednarz

Gosia is a Polish National and has made Newbury her home town since 2004.

Gosia joined us in 2007 and we have trained her from scratch. She took her National Certificate in Dental Nursing Examination in May 2010 which she passed and is now registered with Dentistry's governing body, the General Dental Council (GDC), as a Dental Care Professional. She will be responsible for keeping a log of her life-long training achievements (Continuing Professional Development) and for her professional conduct.

Gosia has proved to be a very trustworthy,caring and efficient member of our team at Newbury Smilemakers and is an excellent team member with a thirst for knowledge. We expect Gosia will be continuing her education with us and expanding her duties in line with GDC's Scope of Practice which will permit her a much wider range of duties, once she has been trained and shown her competency. Gosia has now studied for her dental radiography certificate (under my supervision) and passed the national certificate exam allowing her to take dental x-rays when directed by me.

1st Sept 2011

Gosia has now embarked on a a course of study in Dental Health Education to give advice and discuss matters of dental health with our patients, particularly mothers and children.

In the future she may also be able to take impressions for patient's study models or tooth-whitening "trays" too.
