Titles: Dental Nurse, Dental Sedation Assistant, Practice Manager,Treatment Coordinator

Chris Charon married Richard in 1976. They have two adult children Marc and Jennifer.

Chris was trained as a dental nurse at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester

This gave her a wide variety of experience being trained by and working with many dentists and dental students including professors and heads of departments in the full spectrum of dental specialties.

Chris has in her time worked in several other dental practices both NHS and Private and in the community. She has had experience assisting with General Anaesthetics and many forms of dental sedation for anxious patients. She studied for and passed a Certification examination in Dental Sedation Assisting. This means that she is regarded as a second appropriately trained person to assist the dentist when carrying out intra-venous sedation, so there is no need for a second dentist or a doctor to be present.

On a day to day basis Chris is our practice manager and receptionist. She is also part of our marketing team, as well as our bookkeeper, taking care of the wages and PAYE returns too. Chris also oversees the training of our dental nurses and is on-hand to help them. She also is the key person coordinating and keeping up to date with a mountain of legislation and recommendations for your protection in terms of cross-infection control and Health and safety issues.

Chris is now our Treatment Coordinater- a new role in Dentistry, which in fact officially recognizes the work she has done for a good many years.

She is even appointed Fire Warden for our building !

A vertitable super-woman, with an in-depth knowledge of Dentistry from every aspect. Please feel free to ask her any questions you may have.

Away from the practice she enjoys walking, gardening and spending as much time as she can with her family both locally and in Manchester and Aberdeenshire.
